Why This Matters

Lately, I’ve felt disconnected—like I don’t hear about things because I’m not well enough for extreme adventures. But I know I’m not the only one craving community—something beyond just work, home, and sleep.

I used to go on small adventures all the time, but they’ve become more scarce, and it’s been harder to find safe, trusted people to explore with. I want to change that—and this zoo trip is the first of many accessible adventures I hope to share with you all.

I hope to see you there—or maybe at Comic-Con, Dickens Fair, a Ren Faire, or another day trip soon!

RSVP by grabbing your tickets in advance & messaging me for carpooling!

Questions?
• Would you like to carpool? Let me know.
• Do you have dietary or medical needs I should be aware of? Message me!
• Anything I didn’t cover? Drop a comment or DM me!

I can’t wait to start building community & adventures together again. Hope to see you at the zoo!

Post Event Breakdown:

A soft, sensory-friendly adventure through the Oakland Zoo celebrating queer joy, chosen family, and accessible exploration.

This small group outing was designed with intention—gentle pacing, rest stops, and plenty of space for neurodivergent bodies and minds to just be. We shared laughs, snacks, weird facts about animals, and those quietly sacred moments that only happen when no one has to mask.

Whether you were there to pet goats, take selfies with your emotional support drink, or cry near the flamingos (been there), you were welcome just as you were. Also included: sight bingo cards, stickers, LOL worthy pens, and zoo related trivia/questions.

✨ This was healing disguised as a field trip. And we’ll do it again.
